Earth Day Volunteer Cleanup
April 22 from 1-3PM volunteers will be meeting outside at the Pierce House, 204 Main St. next to the Post Office for a town cleanup in celebration of Earth Day. All are invited and welcome to participate in promoting a safe and healthy environment by picking up litter! Bags and gloves will be provided. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines. It is recommended that bright colors be worn for safety by those cleaning up near roadways. Prizes will be awarded in several categories. Living Well with Chronic Pain
Location: Zoom Instructors: SeniorsPlus Staff & Volunteers SeniorsPlus and the Healthy Living for ME Network is now offering Living Well with Chronic Pain through Zoom! This class is designed for people who are living with chronic pain. The workshop offers strategies for dealing with its symptoms. Topics include: techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep; appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength; appropriate use of medications; communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals; nutrition; pacing activity and rest; and how to evaluate new treatments.
