The Western Maine Foothills Band will be practicing every Monday between April 22nd and May 20th. We'll be meeting in the Adult Ed Center on the Mt Blue High School campus. Pihcintu Multinational Girls Choir Raising Their Voices in Vienna
In today’s troubled world, the Vienna Union Hall is pleased to bring an incredible group of refugee girls and young women to this small town in rural Maine on May 4 at 4:00 PM. Never before has this community had the opportunity to hear the stories of struggle and hope offered with such beautiful voices in this intimate setting. These refugee girls and young women come from war-torn villages, and have escaped from bloodshed, refugee camps, famine, and political turmoil. Quebec’s Le Vent du Nord In Concert
Quebec’s award winning and highly acclaimed five-piece band, Le Vent du Nord will be performing at Old South Church Concert Series on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 12. The front doors will open at 6:15pm for ticket holders. The evening’s performance will begin at 7pm. Maine Mountain Chamber Music
All strings concert with Laurie Kennedy, viola, Katie Kennedy, cello, Sarah Washburn, violin, and Hyun-ji Kwon, cellist, as the second cellist. Solos and duos of female composers for the first half and the beautiful and challenging Arensky Quartet No. 2 in A minor, Op. 35 for violin, viola and 2 cellos. Suggested adult ticket price is $20, more if you can, less if you can't. As always UMF student and youth 18 and under free.
