Improv Theater in Mt. Vernon
Mt. Vernon Community Center 2 Main St., Mt. Vernon, ME, ME, United StatesThe Marti Stevens Interactive Improvisational Theater group will perform scenarios about challenges older Mainers encounter as they live & age in their communities. Scenes will be followed by a chance for the audience to ask questions of the players "in character" and to suggest possible solutions to the challenges presented. The Marti Stevens group's shows on this topic are funded by Spectrum Generations, through an AARP grant. Join us for this free event on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 4pm, at the Mt. Vernon Community Center. This project is part of Shakespeare in American Communities, a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. True to their mission of entertaining and educating they will perform Shakespeare’s comedy, As You Like It, for students of Mt. Blue High School, and the Farmington Middle School on Friday, October 21st. A workshop with students is also planned as well as a FREE evening performance for members of the community and surrounding communities. The evening show will be at 7:00pm

Vienna Historical Society Annual Plays Set for July 20 – 22 Finally re-opening after the pandemic, the Vienna Historical Society will present their annual humorous plays which vividly portray the foibles and eccentricities of small town life.
