Literacy Volunteers of Franklin and Somerset Counties presents: Write to Discover~a virtual Creative Writing Workshop fundraiser. Explore the writer in you, while donating to a good cause. Join Maine Humanities Council Co-Facilitators, Elizabeth Cooke and Sara Beech, for a Saturday afternoon of art and writing. In this session we will brainstorm beginnings, middles, and ends through writing/collaging to discover what comes next. Workshops are family friendly, all ages and levels of experience welcome. Masonic Public Takeout/Pickup Supper

On Saturday, April 17, 2021, the Masonic Group at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton , Maine , will be offering a Public Takeout - Pickup Supper, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. The menu will consist of Baked Roast Beef, Potatoes, Vegetables, Rolls and Molasses Cookies. Cost of the meal for Adults will be $9.00 and $5.00 for those under the age of 12. 10th annual One in Five 5K

Join us for the 10th annual One in Five 5K either virtual or in person on Sunday, April 25th at FirstPark (46 FirstPark Dr) in Oakland at 9 am! Inspired by the current Maine statistic of an estimated ONE in FIVE people in Maine have been affected by sexual violence (Muskie School of Public Policy, Maine Crime Victimizations Rates, 2011), the Sexual Assault Crisis & Support Center is hosting this race. Pie Sale benefit of the Farmington Historical Society

Pie Sale on Saturday, May 8th, day before Mother's Day. Mom does not have to cook dessert on her day when you stop by the Octagon House to  buy a Home Made Pie. The pie sale is located at 126 High Street, Farmington and starts at 9:00 until all the pies are sold. Pies $14.00 each All sales proceeds benefit the Farmington Historical Society

Public Masonic Takeout/Pickup Supper

On Saturday, May 15, the Masonic Group at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Building, 70 Bryant Road in East Wilton, will be offering a Public Takeout/Pickup meal from 5 - 6 p.m. The menu will be roast pork, potatoes, vegetables, applesauce, rolls and dessert. $9 for adults and $5 for 12 years and under. Please reserve your meals by 5 p.m. on Thursday, May 13. Reservations for meat can be made by calling Alan Morison 645-4366, Robert Lawrence 778-2354 or Alvin McDonald 645-2190. Home deliveries are also offered in the Wilton and Farmington area for $10 per meal.

OTIS Federal Credit Union Annual Plant Sale May 29

OTIS FCU’s Annual Plant Sale and Planter Raffle will take place on Saturday, May 29th from 9 AM – 12 PM at the Credit Union. All proceeds will benefit Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, and will stay local.
