The annual meeting of the Bonney Woods Corporation will take place on Tuesday, June 1 at 7 p.m. at Old North Church. The Bonney Woods Corporation is a non-profit organization that manages a 190 acre, multi-use trail network 0.5 miles from Farmington’s downtown and national historic district. These include trails in Bonney Woods, Flint Woods, Horn Woods, Village Woods, and Willow Springs. The Bonney Woods Corporation is Maine’s oldest non-profit. Formed in 1909, it was Maine’s first land conservation organization. The mission is to provide public parks for recreation for the people of Franklin County and its visitors. We maintain

Pickwick Club book discussion

Break up your enforced staycation and join the Pickwick Club for a three-part VIRTUAL discussion of Charles Dickens’s Bleak House. The meetings are on Saturdays, February 27, April 24, and June 26, from 12:30–2:30 p.m. In normal times we meet at the Auburn Public Library, our kind sponsor, but during these “other” times we meet via Zoom. The Pickwick Club is Maine’s Charles Dickens Reading and Appreciation Group; we also explore other great Victorian writers and all things Victoriana in general. CLEARWATER LAKE ASSOCIATION ANNUAL MEETING

The Clearwater Lake Association will hold it Annual Meeting on Sunday July 11th at the Industry Town Hall. The Potluck Dinner will begin at 12:00 and the meeting will follow. Please bring your favorite dinner dish to share with the members. All members and interested persons are invited to attend this meeting. Beverages (water, soda, coffee/tea) will be provided. Mark that date, July 11th for the Annual Meeting of the Clearwater Lake Association.

Farmington Historical Society Meeting is Monday, July 26

Farmington Historical Society Meeting, Monday, July 26, at the parking lot next to Abbott Park and Roberts Learning Center. Bring a picnic supper, and a chair and join us at 6 p.m. A short business meeting and program will follow at 7 p.m. Layne Nason, local Abbott School historian, will present a brief history of Abbott Park using old and new maps and photos. He will treat members and guests to a personal tour of the park. Everyone is welcome back to our monthly meetings. Bring a friend and enjoy the evening.

Franklin County USBC Bowling Membership Meeting

All Franklin County Bowlers We will be having our annual members meeting at Meadow Lanes on Sunday, Aug 22nd at 1pm.  We will need to set the membership fee for the up coming year.  Last year it was $15 with $13 going to USBC, $1 going to Maine State USBC and $1 going to us/Franklin County USBC.
