Mt Blue Area Garden Club is pleased to share the gardens of Becky Grant-Widen at 847 Orchard Drive, Wilton on July 19 at 5:30. Bring your own chair, a sandwich and a plant to swap. Creative desserts are provided by club hostesses. Becky will do a tour of her vegetable and flower gardens, where she uses the “no-dig” method of gardening, as well as her efforts to address invasive and aggressive plants using goats and pigs, particularly multiflora rose and Asiatic bittersweet.

Strong Historical Society invites the public, and especially past members of Strong’s Troop 500, Boy Scouts of America, to attend its regular meeting Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at the Hammond Memorial House, 79 N. Main Street, in Strong. Doors will be open at 5:00 p.m. for brief tours. Potluck supper at 6:00 p.m. (Bring a dish of your favorite food). At 7:00 p.m., after supper, a special recognition of past members of Strong’s Troop 500, Boy Scouts of America, will be made and those Scouts attending will be recognized and given the opportunity to speak of their memories of scouting
