July 3rd in the Park
On Sunday July 3rd, the park will come to life with activities, food and entertainment for all ages, all provided by our area nonprofit organizations. This will be a true family day packed with fun. Festivities begin at 10:00 AM with the Children’s Doll Carriage Parade on Main Street and the Duck Race on Haley Pond, and go out with a bang as the fireworks get underway at dusk. Visitors will enjoy food, live entertainment, games, demonstrations and more - including Rangeley's Great American Dog Parade - all in the splendor of the picturesque lakeside park. 3 Day Fly Fishing Experience
Saddleback Lodge 976 SADDLEBACK RD, RangeleyEnjoy a 3-day fly fishing experience led by our own Dr. Bill Richards, a Master Registered Maine Guide! Day 1: Introduction to the “Art of Fly Fishing” - A little history of the Rangeley Region. An overview of fly fishing equipment and its application. Demonstration of the “overhead cast” and proper body position, fly rod grip, and mechanics and begin to practice your skills with Coach Bill. Kids can begin to explore the Maine woods and learn about the amazing ecosystem we have here. This fun activity includes learning about the different plants, bugs, moss, fungi and so much more while fully immersed, at no cost!
