Public Take Out Supper – Harnden Masonic Hall

Harland M. Harden Masonic Building 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton, ME, United States

On Saturday, AUGUST 20, 2022, there will be a Public Pickup /Takeout Supper at the Harland M. Harnden Masonic Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton, Maine , from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. The menu will be Home Cooked Pulled Pork, with Burger Bun, Cole Slaw, Individual Bag of Potato Chips, and Homemade Brownie for dessert. The price will be $9.00 for adults and $5.00 for those under 12. Home deliveries are available in the Wilton and Farmington area for $10.00 per meal. Reservations by Thursday, August 18 by 5:00 pm would be most appreciated. Reservations may be made by calling

Candy dance for kids. Plus so much more. This is also a charity event portions of proceeds to help the local food pantries and Farmington Animal shelters. This is a 2 day event.  27th 28th of August Gates open 10am, Grand Entry 12 noon. Come for one day. Come for Both. :-)

Come join Maine's Paper & Heritage Museum Saturday, August 27 as we celebrate all those who have worked in the Forest Products industry through the years contributing to the heritage of the river valley! Free tours of the museum all day with lunch from 11:30 to 1pm.  Paper making demonstrations and make your own sheet of paper all day.  HUGE yard sale from 9 to 2.  Come celebrate and help us raise money to match a $25,000 Historic Preservation Grant received in August 2022.

Hymn Sing

After a 2 year Covid hiatus, the annual Hymn Sing at Reeds Mill Church (begun in 1978) will resume Sunday, September 11 at 7:00 PM.  Held at night to appreciate the beauty of the original kerosene lamps, flashlights are recommended.  Led by Ginni Robie, enjoy singing along or just listening to the old hymns played by Robert Ludwig on the pump organ.

Western Maine Audubon invites the general public to its first free talk of the fall. The talk, titled “Loons,” will be presented by Dr. Mark Pokras, a well-known expert in loon studies. It will be held at 7:00 pm on Wednesday, September 14th at UMF’s Thomas Auditorium in Preble Hall. Dr. Pokras, a graduate of Cornell and Tufts University, will be speaking on new research findings concerning loons.
