Community service work beautifies on Arbor Day

1 min read

Cascade Brook School students, from near left, Haylee Hallman, Oceanna Jasper and Ashley Bouchard clean out the beds at the West Farmington traffic island park on Wilton Road. The fourth-, fifth- and sixth-grade students, school staff and many volunteers also worked at Hippach Field and in the garden at the Farmington Community Center this morning as part of the school’s community service day and to celebrate Farmington’s Arbor Day.

  1. Driving by during the work project, I was impressed by the seriousness and intensity of the students taking part. I compliment their hard work, and I hope the beautifully neat and clean flower beds they will see from their school bus windows will remind them of a day they spent in public service. The results are worth those blisters, guys!
