Do you remember when?

1 min read

Dear Editor, I am a Farmington lad – been away for a while. Here is a photograph of the WG Mallett School Ski Team, winter 1957-58, taken by Mickey Maguire (of the Franklin Journal) at the Titcomb
Memorial Ski Slope. The team was comprised of seventh- and eighth-grade students from the Mallett School and one lad from Wilton, whom we recruited because we didn’t have enough skiers who could jump – and Lee Mosher was pretty good at it. The team members, from left to right, were: Earl Tracy, Dick Smith, Shelly (Sheldon) Green, Roger Sinskie, Steve Parent, Ron Calef, Norman Folsom, Lee
Mosher and Bill Davis. I thought perhaps your readers might be interested in a little trip down
memory lane. Kind Regards, Ron Calef, Penn Valley, CA

  1. If you like to see more of ski history in the area, consider a visit to the Ski Museum of Maine and the Farmington Ski Museum located on Church Street. It is free to visit.
