WEST FARMINGTON – After receiving an additional 8 inches of fresh snow during Thursday’s storm, Titcomb Mountain ski area opened today reporting fresh powder to greet skiers and riders.

According to the updated website, both the alpine and nordic trails are in great shape. For alpine, two lifts are in operation and there’s plenty of great recreational skiing on the Bunny, Beagle, Upper Fox, Lower Fox and the Main trails. Some powder was left on the Main to play in.

On the Nordic trails, there is 15 km of packed powder groomed trails. With the fresh snow the conditions are great for either skate or classic skiing. This morning the trails were packed for skate skiing and the plan is to set some classic track as well.
