  1. Another RINO……..anyone notice the 90 deg right turn she is making now………..talk about a wind sniffer. Hutch is right,…time for Snow to go.

  2. Those of us who summer in Maine certainly hope you all kick LaPage to the curb, too. Like other tea partiers, his intellectual capacity and credentials are very suspect.

  3. You are going to kick one of the most veteran senators in Washington to the curb. Give me a break. She may not be one of those hanging of the cliff to the right republicans, but for us moderate republicans who try to make decisions based on what is best for Maine, not just our party, Snowe is exactly who we need in Washington…She fights for Maine (and she is a Republican as well).

  4. Really? “Nice to see everyone dressing up…”? What’s the big deal. A lack of competition in Maine’s political scene and an uneducated voting populous has led to the consitent re-election of two incompetant Senators who simply relish in the elitist attitudes of Washington. These figureheads have done little to fight for Maine. We have had astronomical job loss and the young people of the state continue to emigrate from their homes in the 207 and head for the big city or rather, the big money that our neighbors can provide. Rural development in Maine is appauling and our infrastructure is crumbling. Where is Olympia Snow or Susan Collins when children go hungry in Aroostock, Cumberland and Washington Counties? Where is their support for school consolidations that have left children traveling an hour or more to get to school in the morning to find limited books or supplies? Olympia Snow’s appearance should have been boycotted, as should the polls this year. If we don’t elect them, then their legitmacy is nullified and they are forced to LISTEN and ACT based on what WE THE PEOPLE feel is best for US, rather than acting selfishly for their own re-election and personal satisfaction.

  5. Ms. Snowe had my full support, as did Paul LePage, until last evening when I got an unsolicited phone call with a recorded message from Ms. Snowe telling me to vote for Paul LePage.
I HATE unsolicited phone calls, especially from politicians! I have never voted for anyone who has called my home live or recorded and will not now.
She hasn’t called about Lance and Tom yet, and hadn’t better, I still intend to support them both.
I will be voting for an Independant candidate for Governor.

  6. Moderate,

You must be very smart, questioning the intellectual capacity of a group of people just because you disagree with their belief of limit government and low taxation.

wow, you must be a MENSA card holder!

  7. Not necessarily smart, Hutch – – but thanks – – instead I’m just concerned about our Great Nation in general and Tea Party candidates in particular. Those seeking office in Maine, Delaware, Kentucky, Nevada, and Alaska conveniently say what we want to hear in entertaining fashion (what, the 2nd amendment really does separate church and state??) instead of what we need to hear. We sold ourselves short under 8 long years of Bush/Cheney and its two expensive and unneccessary wars, so a “quick turnaround” as the Tea Party/GOP suggests is merely a get-elected scheme. Real work is much harder to do – – and to speak candidly of in an election.

  8. the only scheme i have seen to get elected was “hope and change”, which translated into 10% unemployment and 13 trillion dollar deficit. If you are one of the few that still believe in hope and change, tell me why it clearly looks like party that believes that “We have Democrats for one reason — to drag the ignorant hillbilly-half of this country into the next century, which in their case is the 19th,” Bill Maher appears like it will lose control of at least the house?

  9. Sure Hutch. 2009 was year zero. Nothing happened before that to effect the current economy. One of this administration’s biggest mistakes was thinking it could find solutions working with people such as yourself. I killed your vote today. Cheers.

  10. Sorry guys, but Snowe and Collins voted against Maine. Why does everyone forget that we had free health care before that stupid vote.. NO hospital could refuse a patient. It was FREE! All that had to be done was make the govt pay the bills on time. Sorry if that was too simple for you libs out there….remember when you lose your insurance, that you cheered on all the libs in Congress. Remember when you lose your jobs that you kissed obama’s butt. If you think this administration won’t throw you under the bus, you have failed yourself and your family. In obama’s world there are only two classes of people, the haves and the have nots. All people not in govt will be the have nots. All very rich or in govt wil be the haves. So continue to vote liberal and enjoy the poverty.

  11. I’m so glad that all of these comments are relevant to this picture. I would like to see you do what she does and THEN voice your opinion… its harder to do then people think! No one cares that you got a solicited phone call to get your vote… or any other problem. Our country is doing the best it can and all people do is sit and bitch on online newspaper articles how does that help? Have a problem with how things are running… DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
