Tree planting on Farmington’s 34th Arbor Day

1 min read

Members of the Farmington Conservation Commission celebrate the town’s 34th Arbor Day with tree planting on Main Street this morning. Board members replaced a tree lilac that had been run over by a truck earlier this spring. Farmington was recognized this week for achieving Tree City status from the National Arbor Day Foundation for 33 years running.

  1. The downtown tree program has been a good one.
The trees will be damaged every now and then but they are worth the effort.
Kudos to the conservation commission and downtown businesses for supporting this program.
It is time and money well spent.
