Edward Podgurski named Elks Club president

FARMINGTON – Farmington Lodge 2430 of the Benevolent and Protection Order of Elks has chosen Edward Podgurski as their president elect for the 2011-2012 Elk year.

Podgurski has been an active Elk member for nine years and received the Lodge Officer of the Year award in 2009. He has chaired and served on numerous committees, including the Lodge Interview Committee and has assisted in many Lodge ceremonies including Flag Day events. He has worked on many Lodge fundraisers to benefit veterans, youth and local charities.

Podgurski and all of the newly-elected Elks officers will be installed at a ceremony on Friday, April 1. The Farmington Elks are dedicated to youth programs, patriotism and service to veterans, as well as national and local charities. The Farmington Elks Lodge recently celebrated their 41st year serving the local communities.
