FARMINGTON – Cub Scout Pack 585 of Farmington met on Saturday for the annual Pinewood Derby. Twenty-seven Scouts made cars from a simple block of wood to enter in the race. All cars must be made by the Scout (with help) and meet strict guidelines set by the Boy Scouts of America.

Keegan Roberts, of Industry, had the fastest car of the day. Michael Gurney, of Industry placed second. Andre Nile, of Farmington, placed third. James Guillaume, of Farmington, won the award for Best In Show. All four will compete at the district competition at Carrabec High School on April 2.
