Freeman man charged with using knife to threaten

FARMINGTON – A man from the Freeman Township was arrested Saturday, after police say he threatened someone with a knife.

Benjamin Fox, 21, of Freeman Township, has been charged with criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon, a Class C felony, and misdemeanor assault, following his alleged actions Saturday. Police say that Fox threatened to use a knife on an individual while at Hannaford supermarket on Routes 2 and 4.

Farmington Police Department’s Officer Darin Gilbert arrested Fox at the Farmington Municipal Building after transporting him from Hannaford. Fox was then taken to the Franklin County Detention Center. Fox was released Sunday, on $500 cash bail.

According to police, the incident did not require the alleged victim to visit Franklin Memorial Hospital.
