EAST WILTON – A two-month-long investigation has netted two people facing charges related to illegal drug activities in a residential area.

Wilton Police Department Detective Richard Billian and Officer Nick Oettinger executed a search warrant on May 11 at 16 Pleasant View Heights in Wilton, based on evidence alleging an illegal marijuana growing operation and illegal possession of dyphenoxilate, a narcotic.

“A search of the residence yielded an indoor marijuana grow of 20 plants, growing equipment, a useable amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, scales, packaging materials, marijuana seeds and prescription drugs,” Billian said.

The owner of the home, Sandra D. Carlson, 41, was not home at the time of the warrant search. She was later charged with possession of a Schedule Y drug (47 pills of dyphenoxilate) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

A juvenile at home at the time of the warrant search was charged with marijuana cultivation and illegal drug paraphernalia and possession of a usable amount of marijuana.

Lt. Reynolds supervised the operation.
