Conrad Joseph Daoust Ill

Conrad Joseph Daoust III, “CJ”, passed on Feb. 3, 2021. Conrad was born in Farmington, son of Conrad Daoust Jr. and Beryle Crockett Daoust. He was a 1978 graduate of Mount Blue High School, then joined the Navy and served his country from December of 1978 until August of 1982.

As a boy, he loved playing baseball, fishing, and hunting with his siblings and cousins. He enjoyed much of the same activities as an adult, including golfing, sky diving, gardening, cooking, and most of all, spending time with his family, closest friends, and fur baby Lily.

Conrad was a loving, devoted father and papa to his pride and joy, daughter Kelsey Daoust and her children. He would always tell her, “I love you more,” to which she would reply, “I love you the most.” He was a very generous, kind man who would help anyone in a time of need.

Conrad is survived by his daughter Kelsey Daoust and her significant other Aaron and their children, of Danforth, father Conrad Daoust Jr. and his wife Terri of Wilton, siblings, cousins, nieces and nephews, an aunt and uncle, and several friends. He was predeceased by his mother, a dear sister, a brother, and both sets of grandparents.

A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in memory of him, to Machias Savings Bank in Danforth, for a fund which has been established for his grandchildren.

  1. Wow Brother you sure shocked the family! I hope you didn’t suffer. I love you, wish I had a chance to tell you before you left us.

  2. I was a classmate of Conrad’s from Kindergarten through high school. He was always a great kid; kind, friendly to everyone and had the best smile. My condolences to his family.

  3. Missing Conrad, just used to stop by and have a cup of coffee with him. Sit for a while and he’d tell me about his life of days gone bye. About his daughter and grandbabies with a twinkle in his eyes. He had great pride in his medical marijuana growing. Especially his black cherry punch strain. That everyone loved. R.I.P. my friend.

  4. Conrad was a classmate of mine. He had the brightest small with the cutest dimple. Always friendly. Rest In Peace my friend.

  5. I also was a classmate of Conrad. He was all those things everyone says. And he was handsome. My condolences to the family.

  6. I would like to thank everyone for their condolences and kind words that have been shared about my dad. I would love to learn of any memories anyone has with him, and see any photos anyone might have.

He was my not only my dad but also my best friend, my protector, my role model, my person. He was my children’s papa and they also adored him. He loved us unconditionally. He always made sure I knew how much we meant to him and how much he loved us.

I’m not really sure what life will bring,
it is so unpredictable. He was not sick, his death was completely unexpected. I never, ever gave it a single thought that I would ever get that phone call. I never thought I would lose my dad at this time in either of our lives. I have never experienced such a loss and there is no way to describe the emptiness within me, part of me has been ripped out and there is no way to replace it. It’s like trying to find your way back to a place that no longer exists.

He would always help anyone who needed help, in any way he could, no matter what their or his circumstances might be. Life will never be the same and I miss him more than words can say.

Please everyone, tell your family and friends that you love them. Spend time with them. Help others when you can and be kind. Those are the things they will remember. Life is not about materialistic possessions, but the people who you share it with and how you treat those people.
