AUBURN – Francis E. “Skip” Ross, 52, a resident of Livermore Falls, passed away on Aug. 22, 2015, at Hospice House of Androscoggin.
He was born on May 28, 1963, in Rangeley, the son of Willis R. Ross and Geneva (Chick) Ross. He attended school in Phillips and at Mt. Abram High School.
On May 20, 2000, he married Mary Lee at Smalls Falls in Madrid, Maine. “Skip” and Mary have been together for 24 years.
He worked in shoe shops and for Element Technology in Lewiston. “Skip” enjoyed hunting, fishing, four wheeling and snowmobiling. He was a member of the Wilton Hunting Club. He received a certificate for the “Biggest Buck Division” for black powder hunting in Maine. He also was an avid moose antler collector.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ross of Livermore Falls; three sons: Joshua E. Ross and his companion Ky Jowdry of Augusta, Brandon Ross and Dillion Ross, both of Livermore Falls; one grandson, Nicholas E. Ross; three brothers: Freeman Ross of Lewiston, Jim Ross and his wife Joella of Phillips, and Bill Ross and his wife Debbie of Rumford and his best friends Keith and Jannette White of Madrid.
He was predeceased by his father, Willis R. Ross and his brother Dan Ross.

Funeral service with Full Military Honors will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28, at Finley Funeral Home, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. prior to the funeral. Interment will be at Byron Cemetery and Annex, Reeds Mills Road, Phillips, Maine.
Skip will be missed greatly by many. Love sent to Mary and boys.
Skip…. very loving, caring person. I have known Skip for more than half of my life n im 34…. I remrmber dancing with Skip at my mom n step dads wedding. If we went camping skip, mary n the boys would come. We spent lots of family reunions together… you c Skip was my stepdads best friend do Skip n Mary r like having another aunt n uncle… He loved going moose horn hunting with Keith….What i am going to miss is Skips smile.. it is sooo contagiuos. He was always asking how my boys n husband was doing. He would help anyone out if they needed anything. Thanks for being part of our family Skip… n dont worry we will all look after ur boys n Mary..

Skip always had a smile on his face and if he was your friend, he was your friend for life.anyone that knew him knows this as true.

Saw Skip just recently and had a nice chat with him, he was having a great time enjoying a crawfish feed, he was feeling well and seemed to be having a great time. It was nice to see him enjoy himself and put cancer on the back burner and just enjoy the evening with Family and Friends. Rest in Peace Skip, many will miss you…
