Marc Carrier

AVON – Marc R. Carrier, 58, of Avon died Dec. 5, 2010 at his home following a long illness, with his family by his side.

He was born Aug. 25, 1952 in Scotts Town , Canada , the son of Richard and Lillian LeMay Carrier. He was educated in the schools of Canada. He married Betty Lou Gould in Phillips in 1992. He has been employed for M&H Lumbering in Rangeley since 1990. He made his home in Avon moving from Mexico. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. He was a member of the North Franklin Snowmobile Club and the Rumford Snowshoe Club. He is survived by his wife Betty Lou Carrier of Avon; four sons, Andrea Carrier of Rumford, Adam Carrier of Dixfield, David Carrier of Peru, Richard Carrier of Strong; two daughters, Tammie Inscore of Florida, Katie Carrier of Phillips; his mother Lillian LeMay of Madison, one brother, Jack Carrier of Mexico, three sisters, Pauline Carrier of Canada, Collett Beaulieu of New Jersey, Carolle Glover of Milton and 15 grandchildren. He was predeceased by his father.

Memorial Services will held on Sunday, Dec 12, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Phillips Middle School, Phillips, Maine. Donations may be sent to Betty Lou Carrier, PO Box 403, Phillips, ME 04966. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Dan and Scott’s Cremation and Funeral Service, 445 Waterville Road, Skowhegan, ME.

  1. Our hearts, thoughts and prayers to Betty Lou and family. Marc was a great guy and friend and we all will miss him. He wont have to suffer anymore with the pain. He will be looking down on you all.

  3. My sympathies and thoughts are with you Betty Lou and your children and grandchildren. Marc was always a wonderful guy to me and my family. Remember all the wonderful moments and events you all shared. I will pray for you and your family. Marc will always have a place in my heart.
