Mary N. (Fahey) Morgan (1925-2009)

NORRIDGEWOCK – Mary N. (Fahey) Morgan, 83 of Norridgewock, formally of Phillips, died on Saturday evening May 9, 2009 at Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan.

She was born in Whitefield, N.H. on Aug. 19, 1925, the daughter of Lawrence and Elsie (Boucher) Fahey. She graduated from Twin Mountain High School in N.H. and attended Nursing School in Portland. Mary resided in Phillips most of her adult life.

She married Montford (Spin) Morgan on March 3, 1946. He died May 16, 1998. After raising their six children she worked for Forster Mfg in Strong for over 25 years until her retirement in 1989.

She enjoyed mini golf with her friends, reading, growing flowers, watching birds and most of all, spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her much joy.

Mary is survived by six children, David and his wife Nancy of Phillips, Michael and his wife Joanne of Phillips, Thomas and his wife Bonnie of Bingham, Robert of Phillips, Kenneth and his wife Brenda of Norridgewock, Kathy and her fiancé Gary of Salem; 12 grandchildren, Dean and his wife Kelly of Bingham, Michael and his wife Tanya of Phillips, Jamie and his wife Jessica of Phillips, Ryan and his wife Iris of Farmington, Casey and his wife Brandy of Norridgewock, Jacqueline and her husband John of Strong, Joseph and his wife Samatha of Phillips, Christopher and his wife Adrienne of Enfield, Conn., Jennifer and her husband Joshua of Auburn, Kylie and her fiancé Bruce of Dover, NJ., Joshua and his companion Kaitey of Bangor, Brandon of Phillips; 11 great-grandchildren, Kyla, Kelton, Carrie-Ann, Michaela, Jordan, Hunter, Gage, Ben, Alyssa, Elijah and Matthew; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Montford “Spin” Morgan; 2 brothers, Thomas “Tom” Fahey and Lawrence “Dick” Fahey.

Friends wishing may make donations in her memory to the Phillips Public Library, P.O. Box O, Phillips, Maine 04966.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 14 at the Congregational Church in Phillips with visitation hours starting at 1 p.m. one hour before the service. Interment in the North Farmington Cemetery, Town Farm Road, Farmington.
