Thayne E. Heath Sr. (1935-2011)

Thayne E. Heath Sr., 75, son of Elisha and Barbara Heath, born April 9, 1935 in Sherman, died peacefully Saturday, March 19, 2011  at his home with his family by his side.

Thayne was a hard worker and always willing to help others.  He worked as a woodsman, carpenter, farmer, construction worker, and many other jobs. He was also a fireman for 33 years and a member of the Masons and the Elks.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, and being with friends. Thayne will be missed greatly by all.

He left behind his loving wife Carolyn of 56 years; his sons, David Heath (wife Rachel) of Chesterville, Daniel Heath of Jay, Michael Heath (wife Debra) of Sanford, and Thayne Heath Jr. (wife Dorothy) of Wells; his  daughters, Thaylene Bernard (husband Andrew) of Livermore  and Muriel Neil (husband Jeff) of Farmington;  a brother Joseph Heath of Orlando, FL; 34 grand children and 39 great grandchildren.

He was preceded  by  his parents Elisha and Barbara Heath, a son Roger, a daughter Maylene; brothers Wayne and Raymond, and a sister Muriel.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., March 23, at the Farmington Falls Church of the Nazarene.  Thayne’s son Rev. Thayne Heath Jr. will be officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Adams~McFarlane Funeral & Cremation Services, 108 Court St., Farmington.

  4. To all the family I offer my sincere sympathies. Thayne was a master carpenter who helped me a number of times with projects around my home. He had uncanny skill. And we tipped many a whiskey at the Holley Farm Resort and Dugout over the years. No ice please. I am sorry I will never share those times with you again, my friend.
