Letter to the Editor: Russell Black will do a great job

1 min read

Russell Black will do a great job in Augusta. We need more strong conservative voices to stop the out-of-control spending and overregulation that has been happening the last several years.

Russell has worked all his life as a farmer, one of the toughest jobs there is. He has also raised a strong and successful family. I think that shows us what life in Maine really should be, instead of the giant park for rich out of staters that we are rapidly evolving in to.

To survive, Maine has to produce something besides scenic views. I believe Russell will work hard to create real jobs that will encourage our children to stay in Maine, instead of leaving the state to make a decent living only to return to retire and regulate after paying no dues to our great state. (Where have Libby’s kids been anyway?)

Most people don’t want to be on welfare, but that is the only opportunity that has been easy to attain in this state for many years. When given a chance, people want to be proud of their job and their ability to pull their own weight. Russell Black can help steer us back in the right direction. Please vote; there has never been a more important time to show responsibility.
