Letter to the Editor: Saviello certainly will have our votes

1 min read

Tom Saviello, would be a great senator. As a state representative, he has consistently dealt rationally and knowledgeably with matters of conservation, business, and assorted issues raised by his constituents.

He has also been prominent in the on-going struggle to have open, factual informational meetings in Maine about the Massachusetts Guard’s low-level plans to use our state’s air space as a training ground. He certainly will have our votes!

  1. With all due respect to Irene and Bill Berry who have themselves contributed immeasurably to our community, I must disagree about Tom Saviello’s position on the low flights.

Tom enjoys to fence sit. His positions on the low flights were more of a wait-and-see combined with don’t-ask-don’t-tell.

We do not need another politician. We do, however, need a legislator which Tom is not.

Ann Woloson is that person. I hope that the people will finally realize this and vote for someone that will actually do something to move us all forward rather fall for those who look for the best photo opportunity.

It is truly a shame that Tom did not debate Ann Woloson. However, that speaks volumes about Tom.

Just my humble opinion, though it is an opinion shared by many who have spoken with me about Tom.
