WILTON – Last year Stan and Lisa Rackliff entered Shelly’s Hometown Market’s first Hunter’s Contest.
Much to their surprise, they both won. Stan Rackliff, a veteran hunter, won Biggest Buck with his 197-pound, six-point buck. Lisa Rackliff won Biggest Doe with her 131-pound doe, the first deer she had ever shot
This year Shelly’s Hometown Market is planning to do some Hunter’s Specials for entering the contest, along with the pool for the biggest buck and doe. The Rackliffs plan to try and outdo last year’s hunt and invite more hunters to join them in the contest this year.
The more entries, the more challenging and exciting it will be.
