“The Easter Movie: A Maine Retelling” premier
UMF - Roberts Learning Center - Lincoln Auditorium Farmington, ME, United StatesDon't miss the premier of "The Easter Movie: A Maine Retelling," starring the Sunday School kids of Old South First Congregational Church, UCC, in Farmington. Backed by a lively soundtrack by local musicians, the 45-minute film depicts the events of Holy Week and beyond, all from a unique Maine perspective. "The Easter Movie: A Maine Retelling," will be shown Palm Sunday, April 10th, 5 pm, at the Lincoln Auditorium on the UMF Campus. Free! (For safety, masks are required.)

UMF Community Chorus Concert
Nordica Auditorium, Merrill Hall, UMF 224 Main Street, Farmington, ME, United StatesSaturday, April 23, 7:30 p.m. Nordica Auditorium, Merrill Hall Doors will open at 7:10 PM. The performance is free and open to the public. Come join the UMF chorus as they sing a cappella contemporary choral works from all over the world including England, Newfoundland, Brazil and the United States. The UMF Chorus will conclude the concert with a performance of Stephen Sondheim’s Broadway Musical, Sweeney Todd.

MMCM founders Yuri Funahashi, piano, and Laurie Kennedy, viola, will be joined by violinist Charles Dimmick and cellist Leo Eguchi. The program consists of Zoltan Kodaly’s Duo for Violin and Cello and Gabriel Fauré’s Piano Quartet in C minor. Adult tickets are $15, those 18 and under are free as are UMF students with ID. Rilke’s Sonnets to Orpheus: A Centenary Celebration

Farmington author, translator, Teacher, and community activist John Rosenwald will present and discuss his translations of Rilke's sonnets, recently published by covered bridge press.

Welcome Here celebrates the vitality of Maine’s indigenous and immigrant communities through music and storytelling. Palaver Strings, in partnership with the Abbe Museum, Greater Portland Immigrant Welcome Center, and Indigo Arts Alliance, will collaborate with guest artists of Wabanaki, Congolese and Puerto Rican heritage, sharing traditional music and personal narratives. The program explores themes of Motherland, Mother Tongue and Mother love--interweaving stories of our relationship with the natural world, our cultural and linguistic traditions, and our dreams for the future generation of our grandchildren

May 7 is our "Taco" night - veggie options and meat options available. 5:30 is our open jam, so bring your voice or your instrument, 6:30 is scheduled musicians. All ages welcome, $20 parking (per carload) covers the farm fresh food and live music, fun and games.

Maine’s Paper & Heritage Museum Open for Tours
Maine's Paper & Heritage Museum 22 Chuch Street, Livermore Falls, ME, United StatesThe Paper & Heritage Museum will be open for tours and refreshments 4pm to 8pm as part of History Night in Livermore Falls. Tours are free and for all ages. The museum is a non-profit, volunteer organization. All donations go toward museum repairs and operation costs.
