Coffee & Checkers with Vets
Roderick-Crosby American Legion Post 28 hosts its monthly Coffee & Checkers with Vets on Monday, January 30th from 9 - 11 am. The Legion Hall will be open to all with free coffee, tea or hot chocolate and baked goods. Come join us in the basement level meeting room. Use the door adjacent to the driveway to come in. Chat with a veteran, play a game of checkers, enjoy a hot drink.

Trinity Baked Bean Buffet Supper
Trinity United Methodist Church in Farmington is having our second Saturday Baked Bean Buffet Supper at 4:30-6:00 pm Sat., Feb. 11th. The menu includes red hot dogs, home cooked baked beans, scalloped potatoes, American chop suey, coleslaw, biscuits, and gingerbread/whipped cream for dessert. Adults $9.00, children 12-5 years $4.00 and children under 4 years are free. All money raised will go to our local mission work.

VFW Post #3335 and Auxiliary in Jay will host a Valentine's dinner and dance February 11th. This event is a fundraiser for our state Commander and Auxiliary President's special projects which are Veterans Family Camps which are located in Belgrade, Rome, Standish, Mount Vernon, Lee and Togus offer Veterans a chance to relax, have fun and reconnect with their families and other Veterans. The Auxiliary President's special project is Mission Working Dogs located in Lewiston who train service dogs, therapy dogs and facility dogs. February 22, Shorey Chapel, United Church of Christ, in Industry, will hold an Ash Wednesday observance from 6:30 -7:00pm. Rev Doug Dunlap will lead the observance, which will include the distribution of ashes. Deb Bujnocki will provide instrumental music on the recorder. The church is located at 1109 Industry Road on Route 43. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent, a period in the Christian church year which continues to the evening before Easter Sunday. The lively Pancakery Cafe returns for another FREE delicious Sunday brunch! Let our kid waitstaff serve you from our menu, which includes soups, sandwiches, quiches, baked goods, salads, and of course, pancakes!
