This class is designed for people who are living with chronic pain. The workshop offers strategies for dealing with its symptoms. Topics include: techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep; appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength; appropriate use of medications; communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals; nutrition; pacing activity and rest; and how to evaluate new treatments. The Mt. Blue Area Garden Club will hold their Annual Plant Sale, at Meetinghouse Park inFarmington onMay 15, 9:00am (sharp) until sold out (rain or shine). We will offer locally grown perennials dug from members' gardens, reasonably priced and ready to plant in your garden. We have added gently used gardening items and house plants. This is our only fundraiser and is used to support our scholarship program for graduating students from Mt. Blue High School who are going on to study horticulture or an related area of study.
