Old South Church Plant Sale
The annual Old South Church plant sale will begin on Monday, May 15 and run through Sunday, June 11 offering primarily perennials and "Simply Lilacs". Plant selection can vary from day to day and may include: herbs, houseplants, veggie seedlings, and garden decor. Location is 125 Woodfield Drive, off Perham Street in Farmington. Self-serve 9 am to 7 pm daily.

Western Maine Friends of Ukrainians will host a public meeting on Wednesday, June 14 to provide information for potential hosts of Ukrainian refugees. The group has been working for about a year to establish itself as a Sponsor Circle and will provide support Farmington area people who are interested in hosting Ukraine during the war brought by Russia. Millions of Ukrainians have had their housing and livelihoods, and sometimes their families, destroyed by the invasion and many are seeking refuge in other countries including the US. The program on June 14 will provide information about the United for Ukrainians (U4U)

It’s time to get the Fly Rod Crosby Trail ready for summer hiking! Spend a day in the backcountry, with beautiful views of Maine’s High Peaks including Saddleback and Mt Abram and with wild-life sightings while helping maintain an all-volunteer heritage trail in Madrid Township. Trail work for beginners-advanced. We will be trimming vegetation, removing sticks and blowdowns, and some trail repair/rerouting. Please bring your own water, bug dope, sunblock, raingear, boots, lunch or snack, wading shoes and favorite trail tools. We also have loppers, clippers, gloves, safety glasses and helmets to borrow.

CITY LIGHTS NORTH SUMMER PERFORMING ARTS CAMP 231 Broadway, Farmington Free, 6-18 years old Saturday July 1 is registration. Come by any time between 8 am and noon. Be ready to dance a little! Camp is every day including Sunday, 8 am to 3 pm, July 2-16. The final performance is Sunday July 16th at 3:00 pm, Emery Theatre. Visit Maine's Paper & Heritage Museum at 22 Church Street in Livermore Falls to learn more about the wood products industry in Maine and exhibits showcasing local history. Tours are free, but donations are encouraged and appreciated. All donations go toward matching a $25,000 grant received to repair the museum foundation.
