Public Masonic take out/pick up supper
On Saturday, June 19, 2021, the Masonic Group at the Harland M. Harnden Masoni Building, 70 Bryant Road, East Wilton, Maine, will be offering a Public Takout-Pickup Supper, from 5:00 to 6:00 pm. The menu will consist of Spaghetti and Meatballs, Green Salad, Rolls, Dessert. Mushroom Day 2021 SATURDAY JULY 17, 2021 Join us for a full day of everything Mushrooms! We'll have a brief introduction to mushroom biology and life cycle led by Jula Moll-Rocek, followed by a foraging walk led by experienced forager Cynthia Hoeh Stancioff. We'll share a potluck lunch, and hear about some cooking insights and ideas with all kinds of mushrooms (even pickling!). Then we'll have a discussion of outdoor cultivation techniques, and some hands-on learning inoculating shiitake logs! ZoomJoin us June 23rd at 1:00 pm for How She Built That featuring Hilary Crowell of The Cultivated Thread, a small-batch weaving studio in Mid Coast Maine. Hilary started The Cultivated Thread in early 2020 with a focus on handwoven wearables and home goods. As the COVID-19 pandemic began to unfold, Hilary quickly realized that she would not be able to sell her artisan handwoven goods at local fairs, festivals and farmer’s markets during the summer as planned. She worked closely with the WBC to make the jump from in-person selling to e-commerce, initially focusing on developing a strong website

Trinity UMC Red Cross Blood Drive
ME, United StatesTrinity United Methodist Church is sponsoring the American Red Cross blood drive on June 25th, 2021. The blood drive starts at 11:00 am and ends at 4:00 pm. The drive will be set-up in the Fellowship Hall. You can call the church office at 207-778-3921 to make an appointment or walk in when you are available that day. Please donate if possible, the demand for blood is higher than usual. Donating blood is the gift that saves lives.

United Way’s 5 Card Float down the Sandy River
United Way of the Tri-Valley Area will host its first 5 Card Float down the Sandy River on June 26th. Put-in will be at the Fairbanks Bridge between 10am and 12pm. Take-out will be at DHHS in Farmington. There will be shuttle service to get you back to your vehicle at the Fairbanks Bridge. Feel free to float, paddle, swim etc. – whatever floats goes! Just remember as with every event that United Way hosts, that money raised from this event gets invested directly back into our community – through valued community partners and through programs like the Hope Fund,
