Storytelling workshops continue

Have you ever wished you could keep a crowd on the edge of their seats with a good story? Well now is your chance! The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has received a Discovery Grant from the Onion Foundation to host Storytelling Workshops. The workshops will be held twice a month with an opportunity to perform monthly. Come craft your story with our favorite funny man, storyteller extraordinaire and RLRS English teacher, Tim Straub. Participants should come to the workshop with some ideas for your own story, something that really happened to you. Since you are telling a true story,

Campfire Chronicles

Martin Woods Farm invites you to the first of many outdoor Campfire Chronicles under our large white indoor arena with live music and farm fresh food at each event with a different theme. It is Good Friday so Easter is our first theme and we will hide some eggs for kids to find. Come and enjoy the good ole days where guitars and other musical instruments outnumber cell phones we hope!

Living Well with Chronic Pain

This class is designed for people who have a diagnosis of chronic pain, offering strategies for dealing with their symptoms. Topics include: techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, appropriate use of medications, communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals, nutrition, pacing activity and rest, and how to evaluate new treatments.

Career Center Consultant at Dr. Shaw Memorial Library

“Gardening to Please the Birds and the Bees” – a live talk sponsored by Western Maine Audubon

UMF - Roberts Learning Center - Room 101 Main Street, Farmington

Western Maine Audubon invites the general public to join us on Wednesday, April 13th at 7:00 pm for a live presentation titled “Gardening to Please the Birds and the Bees.” The talk will be given by Maine State Horticulturist, Gary Fish and will be held in Room 101 of the Roberts Learning Center at UMF.
