Gold Leaf Senior College Summer semester sign-up
Registration is now open for our summer semester. Gold Leaf is for people 50 or older. Summer programs include activities ranging from educational classes to social activities. Please go to our website at (goldleafinstitute.org) to view our offerings and sign-up.
City Lights North Summer Performing Arts Camp
Old State Theatre City Lights North 231 Broadway, Farmington, ME, United States20th Annual Summer Performing Arts Camp 8:00 am to 3:00 pm daily (including weekends) July 1-16 July 1 is registration: come between 8 and 12 to register and work a bit. Performance on the 16th. This program is free; it is a demanding pre-professional program in dance, singing, acting, fencing, and art. Ages 6-17. Teachers include: Russell Ferguson, Adrienne Hawkins, Braun Dapper, Hershey Bliss, Zakyia Watkins, Duggan Hill, and more. Call 207 778 9114 or text 617 543 9749 with any questions. Chewonki’s Biomes Program

Explore Earth’s biomes with Chewonki’s traveling natural history program. A variety of different biomes will be showcased, including one from far away, and two from closer to home–the ocean, and our temperate forest. Event held in the Forster Memorial Building in Strong.

Morning Flow Class is designed with appropriate asanas (postures) to improve strength, balance, and flexibility. This one-hour class will help prepare you to joyfully tackle pursuits of the day. Robert and Carol Patenaude co-teach the Saturday Morning Flow series. They completed their 500-hour yoga teacher training together. Day 1: Introduction to the “Art of Fly Fishing” - A little history of the Rangeley Region. An overview of fly fishing equipment and its application. Demonstration of the “overhead cast” and proper body position, fly rod grip, and mechanics and begin to practice your skills with Coach Bill.
