The presentation, which is free to the public, will be given by retired Professor of Biology, Herb Wilson. Dr. Wilson’s talk will center around the findings presented in the Butterflies of Maine and Maritime Provinces, to be published this fall by the Cornell University Press. SANDY RIVER FESTIVAL — JUNE 10th–Strong, ME
Come to Strong for the Sandy River Festival, a day-long celebration of the natural beauty and rich history of the region. Water access for canoes, kayaks, activities and parking will be at the Legion Field at the bridge. Activities for all ages: Paddle from Strong to Fairbanks, with return shuttle provided (3 hrs.-9 miles of easy water; life jackets required per Maine law).
