Nick is a specialized bird photographer and loon enthusiast. He has been photographing common loons and native wildlife for 20 years plus. He prides himself in sharing the splendors of the Rangeley Region, including its native inhabitants and fauna. Guests must arrive 20 minutes prior to their scheduled activity time. Open to ages 9+. Improv Theater in Mt. Vernon
Mt. Vernon Community Center 2 Main St., Mt. Vernon, ME, METhe Marti Stevens Interactive Improvisational Theater group will perform scenarios about challenges older Mainers encounter as they live & age in their communities. Scenes will be followed by a chance for the audience to ask questions of the players "in character" and to suggest possible solutions to the challenges presented. The Marti Stevens group's shows on this topic are funded by Spectrum Generations, through an AARP grant. Join us for this free event on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 4pm, at the Mt. Vernon Community Center. Hymn Sing
Reeds Mill Church 995 Reeds Mill Road, Madrid Twp., MEAfter a 2 year Covid hiatus, the annual Hymn Sing at Reeds Mill Church (begun in 1978) will resume Sunday, September 11 at 7:00 PM. Held at night to appreciate the beauty of the original kerosene lamps, flashlights are recommended. Led by Ginni Robie, enjoy singing along or just listening to the old hymns played by Robert Ludwig on the pump organ.

Reeds Mill Church 995 Reeds Mill Road, Madrid Twp., MEAfter a 2 year Covid hiatus, the traditional September Hymn Sing, begun in 1978, will return to Reeds Mill Church in Madrid. This evening hymn sing allows you to enjoy the church in the evening with the original kerosene lamps lit. Come join in the singing or simply listen to the old hymns. Ginni Robie will lead the singing while Robert Ludwig plays the organ. All are welcome!

These gradually sloped trails include sections great for beginner riders. This weekly kid's program will work on a progression from flat gravel riding to eventually going down some of our green-level beginner bike park trails. The first few weeks will be spent on gravel, likely a parking lot to work on skills. This program runs from June 2nd through the Thursday before Labor Day weekend. BYOB - Bring Your Own Bike.
