International Trade for Immigrant Entrepreneurs
Immigrant entrepreneurs in Maine bring a competitive advantage with international market knowledge, first-hand knowledge of foreign countries, and often proficiency in multiple languages. In this 2-part workshop, immigrant entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs will: Explore opportunities in exporting and importing goods, Discuss practical considerations in starting an export or import business, Review resources available to support international trade Both sessions are ideal for immigrant entrepreneurs in Maine looking to better understand the export/import processes. The talk will be held in UMF’s Preble Hall, Thomas Auditorium, at 173 High Street in Farmington. Maine has over 2,500 Great Ponds. UMF Olsen Student Center, North Dining Halls 111 South Street, Farmington, ME, United StatesWestern Maine Audubon is pleased to announce a presentation titled, The Distribution and Ecology of the Butterflies of Maine on Wednesday, May 10th at 7 pm in UMF’s North Dining Hall. The presentation, which is free to the public, will be given by retired Professor of Biology, Herb Wilson. Dr. Wilson’s talk will center around the findings presented in the Butterflies of Maine and Maritime Provinces, to be published this fall by the Cornell University Press.
