Storytelling workshops continue
Have you ever wished you could keep a crowd on the edge of their seats with a good story? Well now is your chance! The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has received a Discovery Grant from the Onion Foundation to host Storytelling Workshops. The workshops will be held twice a month with an opportunity to perform monthly. Come craft your story with our favorite funny man, storyteller extraordinaire and RLRS English teacher, Tim Straub. Participants should come to the workshop with some ideas for your own story, something that really happened to you. Since you are telling a true story,
Living Well with Chronic Pain
This class is designed for people who have a diagnosis of chronic pain, offering strategies for dealing with their symptoms. Topics include: techniques to deal with frustration, fatigue, isolation, and poor sleep, appropriate exercise for maintaining and improving strength, appropriate use of medications, communicating effectively with family, friends, and health professionals, nutrition, pacing activity and rest, and how to evaluate new treatments.

Easter Sunrise Service At Sugarloaf
Sugarloaf Mountain 5000 Access Road, Carrabassett Valley, United StatesCome join the experience of celebrating Easter morning way up on Sugarloaf. Please arrive early and overdress! It’s always much colder than you think. Bring a headlamp if you have one; some people find that helpful getting to where we stand for the service. Meet at the base of the Super Quad Chair. Lift will load from 5:00-5:05 AM only Sunday morning, April 17th. No lift ticket required. You must ski/board down. Recommended for people intermediate level or above (trail can be firm and dim that time of morning). Lift may change due to weather.

Managing Field Lands for Grassland Birds and Soils for Forever Chemicals
Phillips Public Library 96 Main Street, Phillips, ME, United StatesThe Phillips Public Library Seed Loan Project presents - Laura Suomi-Lecker is the technical manager of the Ag Allies statewide grassland bird habitat project. She will discuss Maine's grassland-dependent bird species and their conservation, as well as best management practices to improve grassland habitat while maintaining sustainable hay crops. Richard Kersbergen is the Extension Professor for Sustainable Dairy and Forage Systems with the University of Maine Cooperative Extension. Town of Starks Appeals Board Hearing
The Appeals Board will have a public hearing on a request from New England Clean Energy Connect (NECEC) for an extension variance of their Site Plan and Shoreland Zoning Project in Starks. This variance would grant an 18 month extension until December 2, 2023. Summary: The Site Plan Review Ordinance limits the duration of the Site Plan Approvals to an initial twelve months and two 6 month extensions. NECEC Transmission, LLC would like an additional 18 month extension until December 2, 2023 due to issues beyond their control.
